The garden contains hundreds of heritage roses, fruit trees, and annual and perennial cottage plants. The garden has been developed organically with allowance for additional purchases. A grass tennis court is surrounded by climbing roses and framed by a large Moreton Bay Fig tree that is over a century old. The garden offers views of Blackwood valley and the vineyard.

This charming cottage garden, now three years old, showcases a stunning array of plant life. Springtime sees an explosion of colour with around 50 roses in full bloom, complemented by beds brimming with annuals, perennials, fruit trees, and an orchid shade house. Elegant climbing roses and vibrant clematis weave themselves around the veranda posts, creating a picturesque scene. The lush lawn area is meticulously cared for, adding to the garden’s tranquil beauty.

The drive through jarrah forest into Mayfield is lined with pencil pines and roses, leading to a large country garden surrounding a homestead built in 1926. Deciduous trees and mature cedars complement green lawns and beds of sasanqua camellias, rhododendrons, azaleas, and perennials. A shady grape arbour leads to a lily pond, Japanese maple garden, and wisteria pergola. A bird-friendly native plant garden was added in recent years.

Hillview is 38 years in the making from a bare paddock to a true gardener’s garden. The garden consists of four-acres with multiple rooms, encompassing some 250 roses, unusual and hard to find perennials, conifers, and deciduous trees. Carolyn and Garry are forever adding to the garden by bringing together their complementary skills.

Carmel’s Rose Haven began 23 years ago as a largely bare cow paddock with a vision to turning it into a large country garden. The splendid garden has now been filled with hundreds of roses of different varieties all in full bloom, deciduous trees, camellias, magnolias and fruit trees. A display of vintage tractors and bulldozers restored by Trevor are on display.

Stroll through a quirky collection of farm machinery, fruit trees and vegetables.

In spring, the garden bursts with bird and bee activity, creating a joyful and pleasant atmosphere.
